Our Office
- Recycling of paper waste (G/BA spearheaded the recycling program for the entire building), dry cell batteries, and printer cartridges
- Water-based ink for printers and copiers and we have gone paperless on more and more projects
- Reuse of packaging materials: boxes, tubes and bubble wrap
- ENERGY STAR labeled computers and printers
- Server virtualization technology has allowed G/BA to reduce the number of physical server computers in the network room, with multiple operating servers running as virtual machines on a single hardware machine, significantly reducing power requirements for network services
- E-Waste: Old printers, computers and copiers are either turned in for recycling, donated, or given to employees
- Purchased digital cameras and rechargeable batteries
- Replaced/recycled all mercury thermometers
- Hybrid vehicles for company cars
- Several of our staff walk or bike to work and are provided a secure location to store their bikes
