G/BA provided commissioning services with a focus on the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the newly constructed 20 story, 361,000 square foot senior living facility. Systems commissioned include water source heat pumps, cooling towers, hot water boilers, emergency power generators and normal power systems. Commissioning began at schematic design and continued through warranty phase.

• Performed an energy simulation during schematic design to optimize energy consuming systems' selection based on life cycle.
• Observed construction and directed functional performance tests.
• Verified that systems were installed in accordance with design documents.
• Provided regular tracking and resolution of commissioning issues, including deficiencies in the design, construction and operation of equipment.
• Verified that operation and maintenance personnel and occupants were properly trained.
• Retained an independent contractor to provide balancing checks of air and water systems.
