The hospital has had a comprehensive energy management program. Nearly all energy conservation measures (ECMs) with a six year or lower payback period have been implemented. Grants and utility rebates have helped fund many projects.

• Oxygen trim control of boiler burners
• Recover waste heat from incinerator to generate steam
• Boiler blowdown heat recovery
• Convert chilled water system to primary/secondary to improve system performance and reduce energy costs
