The Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) expansion project includes a 22,000 square foot emergency and trauma department addition and a 22,000 square foot ICU addition as well as renovation of approximately 12,000 square feet within the existing hospital.

• The new construction includes one of the largest trauma centers in Arizona and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Scottsdale's East Valley
• Includes a roof mounted helipad which can accommodate three helicopters simultaneously
• The controls include complex isolation sequences in the event of a biological attack

• Commissioning on this project included design review, construction phase observation and acceptance testing
• Systems commissioned included air handling units, pumps, variable air volume boxes, domestic water heaters, normal power systems, emergency power systems, medical gases, converters, fire alarm, nurse call, temperature controls, and exhaust fans
